THAT'S ME is a companion novel to Real Good, set in Queens from 1981 to 1992 — the decade JP spends dismantling every word of that opening sentence. Written entirely in JP's first-person voice, the book tracks his descent through the street economy, the criminal one, and finally the pharmaceutical one, in a narrative where the prose itself erodes as the man does.
